Dec 18

OUR LIFE has changed tremendously over the past month or so. We are now in Iowa and will be living in Rock Rapids once our new house is vacated!
Chris got a job with the Lyon County Sheriff's Dept and we are all excited to be near more family and friends. We are trying to survive the cold weather.. and doing well.
Right now we are living at Gma and Gpa VB until we can move into our home. It is nice having all the help, but not alot of room for all of us here. Of course gma and gpa are thrilled to have us living closer to them,
I need to put more pics up here soon, but am having trouble finding a way to download them on my parents computer.
The kids are all doing well.
Tanner goes to lunch each morning with gpa and loves being on the farm. The girls are now 7months and boy has time flown by. They are sitting up almost on their own now and growing like weeds.
Emory is a very determined child and has a temper we can tell already. She gets mad at her toys if they dont do what she wants them to. She is also very tickelish and loves to be cuddled and squeezed.
Alexis is more layed back, and would rather be carried around all day then play with toys. She does NOT like to be left alone anytime and lets you know when she is by herself. They both have really started to love having tanner around them and also like sitting next to eachother and playing side by side.
Chris is enjoying his new job and I am staying at home for now. After we can settled in a little, I may look for some part time work again but we are in no hurry.

There is a little update from us... I will try to get some pics up soon!

Oct 26

Can you tell life has been busy :)

I am sorry for the long laps of updates here. I can NOT believe the girls will be 6 months in just a week or so. They are getting so big and so aware of their surroundings. Still not sleeping so well at night, but we are managing. It seems that one girl will do good one night and the next the other will.. lately Emory has not wanted to go back to sleep after feedings so that is tough. We are surviving though and feel blessed each day for our beautiful children.

Tanner is enjoying his mothers day out program and goes there tues and thurs from 9-2. It is a good break for mom and him to get out of the house. Chris is working nights and been busy at work. He does not get much sleep lately with trying to help me out during the day.

I started working PRN at Baylor as a dietitian and that is probably the best thing I did to create some balance in my life. I can basically work when I want to and only work when Chris is off so we really dont need daycare. Tanner sometimes goes to a friends house on the days I work. I did my internship at Baylor several yrs ago and it is so nice being back and learning so much again there!!

We are headed to IA for a trip from Nov 11-16. It will be a long drive again, but am excited to see everyone. Chris has an interveiw there for a job so keeping my fingers crossed that just "maybe" we will move there for some extra help.
It will be a huge process though to try to move right now. Lots of prayer!!

Sept 6

The girls are now 4 months already!!! Time has flown, but some days seem like they never end... Exhaution!! Having 3 kids 2 and under is quite the task, but we are doing it. I have had several friends come in the evenings when Chris is at work to help out. I als have a mother's helper a few nights a week too.

Tanner has his MRI Monday morning to see how his shunt is doing. I am anxious for that appointment. Then the girls have their developmental appointment on Tues and their 4mo shots on Thurs. BUSY week. Chris parents are coming for a few days to visit and help out so that will be nice.

Tanner started MDO on Tues and Thurs from 9-2. He seemed to really enjoy his first day and I think it will be good for him and myself!! He is still adjusting to sharing his time with mom and dad and some days are better than others.

Here are a few pics.. gotta go for now!

WOW... what a day! It has been very stressful having chris back at work and being alone with the kiddos. BUT we are surviving! Tanner has been a little attention needy and I am having a hard time giving it to him, when both babies are crying. I had a few helpers this week, but did it on my own all day on Sunday! I even made it to church with all 3 of them!! It was a good way to get our and get tanner out of the house.
Tommorow I am going to try to get them all to MOPS and then chris is off finally tommorow night...thankgoodness!
This will pass I keep telling myself and it will all be a distant memory. I love my kids to death, but at times it is just too much for 1 person to handle! Miss my family like crazy (and all the help I had).
We will survive! That is what I remind myself:) Off to help feed Alexis for now! and get tanner out of the drawer again!

Aug 22

We are back in TX again and trying to get in the swing of things. Chris had off until last night so it was nice having him around so that I could at least attempt to get unpacked and go through ALL the mail he forgot to take care of -haha :)

I am adjusting to life without as much help around and family. I have a few people who have volunteered or I am going to hire to help out in the evenings from 6-9 or so. We will see if that works out.

We celebrated Chris's 31st bday on thursday. We took Tanner to the splashpark and him and daddy played there while I took care of the girls. We also had a bday cake and sung happy bday to dad. That night we hung out with our sunday school class which was nice.

It is hot here in TX so not as much fun going outside. I know tanner missed the farm and seems to get bored pretty easy here. He starts mother's day out soon so that will help take up a few days through the week.

I will try to get pics up soon!

Oh, and a big milestone. Both girls are now in their cribs in their own room!!! They had their second big night there and are doing great! We are happy to finally have our room to ourselves again!! :) They are getting so big!

Aug 4

We are still enjoying life in Iowa with lots of family to help out! We have been busy with going to Bret's baseball games, going to family gatherings and spending time with grma and gpa. A day does not go by that Tanner does not spend time on the farm with gpa. They do chores, go to lunch, and mow the lawn together. He LOVES being outside on the farm!!

The girls are growing fast. Emory is a little jabber box already and LOVES to be talked to and will talk back to you in her own words. They are both smiling alot and it is fun to see them interact so much. Eating and sleeping well. They wake up about 2/night at 2am and then 5 or 6am. I am tired, but life is good.

We miss daddy alot. He will be here to pick us up and see us on aug 14. He is also very anxious to see us again.

Here is a picture of all the VB grandchildren. We enjoyed time with our cousin Neveah.

July 25

Things have been busy in the Lincecum household. I just wanted to put in a quick blog before leaving for lake okoboji again. The kids and I have been in Iowa visiting with family and enjoying all the help for about 2 weeks now. We drove home with gma and gpa VB and Chris will pick us up again on aug 14 or so. He misses us alot and we miss him too!!

The girls are doing great and eating well and growing fast. I will try to put some new pics up soon as I can figure out the way to download pics onto my mom's computer. We have spent most of the week in Okoboji with the Te Grotenhius clan and enjoying boating and jet skiing. Tanner is having fun with all his cousins and loves the beach most of the time.. if he gets enough sleep LOL :).

July 2

I can't believe it is July already! Summer is flying by and it has been HOT here in Texas!!
The girls are doing well and Tanner is adjusting. We continue to have lots of visitors and helpers which is very nice. Becca is here now to help for a few days and on thursday my brother and his wife will be here for a few days to visit! The girls have started sleeping a little better at night. They are still eating almost every 3 hrs but occationally will go 4-5 hours at night if they are tired enough. The biggest challenge is keeping them up during the day so they are tired at night. Alexis had her first real smile at mom on June 30 so that was exciting. Emory has been really close but not sure it was a real smile or not!

Yesterday we took the family to the Harbor and Tanner had some fun at the splash area while the girls chilled in the shade. We all had a fun time and Emory and Alexis slept the whole time we were gone.

June 21

We are doing well and having fun with Tessa and Neveah. Tanner has really enjoyed having a playmate that is able to crawl around and play with him instead of just lay there like his sisters do know.

Photobucket

We have managed to get out of the house a few times. Yesterday we took all 4 kids to our friend's pool. While I am not so sure it was worth all the preparation, the kids did have fun and Emory and Alexis just chilled out in the stroller in the shade and slept.
Photobucket

Yesterday I took Alexis to the Dr for her congested nose. The dr said she may have a cold, but not much they do for small babies. We just have to suction her out lots and keep her elevated. Sleeping seems to be hard for her now, so hopefully she will feel better soon. We did weigh both girls and they are doing great! Emory is now 7lbs 10.5oz and Alexis is 6lbs 13oz!! They are normal size babies now and I can tell they are filling out in their cheeks.

Today we went to our neighborhood picnic. Tanner enjoyed the snow cones and cotten candy of course! It was pretty warm out there though (dumb texas heat) so we didnt stay too long.

Here is a previous pic from Tanner's 2yr bday!

June 16

Well we are on our own again. Chris parents left this afternoon and I had my first few hours alone with all 3 kids. It went alright, other than the fact that Tanner REALLY dislikes when I have to feed the girls. He is always finding an excuse to have me get up and get him something, so we are now working on teaching him patience. I can definetly see some jealousy issues arising the last few days.

Father's day was nice. Chris had to work so we didnt get to spend a whole lot of time with him. He did enjoy holding his girls though and playing with tanner for a little while.

My sister flies in on wed afternoon and looking forward to seeing her then. Hopefully our home wont be too crazy with another baby around :) I will be glad to have some help feeding the girls tonight... I determined that I spend almost 8-10hrs/day feeding and pumping. That is CRAZY!! Hopefully they will be more efficient eaters soon.

june 13

I made it through a night alone with the girls. Chris went back to work last night and I had night duty alone. Chris' mom is here to help, but I decided not to bother her last night and let her sleep. Emory must be going through a growth spurt cause she has been wanting to eat in less than 3 hrs lately. I am pumping and feeding at night and then trying to breastfeed through the day, but it has been a time-consuming event and not sure how long I can do it once the help leaves as Tanner can be "needy" at times. We will just see how things go!

Last night we took the family to Denny's which just opened in Royse City. It was nice to get out and since Wayne and Lucia were here, we had plently of hands. The girls slept through the meal and Tanner enjoyed his kids meal of hot dogs and applesauce.

It was so cute today as Tanner is very protective of his sisters. He was sitting next to Emory's boucy seat taking care of her and talking to her with his cute smile. He really loves his baby sisters as I can tell from his actions (most of the time).

My first blog

My first blog entry!! I wanted to start this so that all our family and friends who live far away or close can keep up to date on our family. I will try my best to post pics and updates as much as possible, but as you all know life is pretty crazy right now with a 2 yr old and twins!

The girls are doing well and growing great. On monday Emory weighed 6lbs 5oz and Alexis was 5lbs 11oz. They continue to eat every 3 hrs and I am trying to keep up with breastfeeding and pumping. We will see how long I can do it, but as long as I have help at home, I can try.

My mom left earlier this week and we miss her alot!! She was a tremendous help! Chris' mom will be here tommorow for a few days to help and then my sister will be here early next week. It will be nice to have an extra set of hands.

Tanner is doing great with his sisters and has shown us how he can be a great big brother. He is always trying to give them kisses and helps us as much as he can. We do need to keep our eye on him, but he is getting better each day.

We had an outing yesterday to the mall. Not sure it was worth the hassle, but we survived. Tanner had fun playing at the play area and chris got his father's day gift of some clothes. It is fun getting all the attention from onlookers.

Well I better get going for now. Hope you all enjoy!
